National Series 2010

Posted by Ian under News

RYAN : After 12 rounds of racing the championship came down to the final race of the series with a winner takes all race. The gate dropped and coming out of the 1st berm Ryan was in a good 2nd place, going down the 2nd straight it was still all to play for. Going round the 2nd berm all the potential title winners where still within striking distance of each other. Down the final straight Ryan was still in 2nd and was trying his best to get that all important 1st place. As the leaders came over the line there was only a bike length between them with Ryan just missing out on the title coming home in 2nd. The season saw venues including Derby, Bournemouth and Manchester with Gosport, Braintree and Cheddar squeezed in-between there was a real mix of tracks in there and Ryan was really pleased to have come away with National number 2.

ALEX : With Alex sweeping everyone aside last year and winning every title possible 2010 was always going to be a hard one but Alex rose to the challenge with a brilliant 3rd place overall in the National Series. Alex consistantly finished in podium places at most of the rounds and was always pushing the top two all year.

He now has to have complete rest for 2 weeks before he starts a training programme to help build the muscle back up. Hopefully this isnt to serious and the rest will do Ryan good and he will come back as strong as ever ready for a good winters training.
